DelawareFor recycling, contact the state or local officials to see what the regulatory interests are in a specific project. Delaware requires all incoming loads be tested for asbestos before recycling. The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is currently performing research related to recycled asphalt shingle (RAS) use in pavement. In 2018, they will compare mix properties of mixes containing RAS with or without asphalt binder rejuvinators. DelDOT specifications allow for RAS in state mixes, but does not allow it to be used in mixes at low mix temperatures.
