IowaThe Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) does not require a sanitary disposal project permit to conduct source separated recycling. Contact the DNR to see what the regulatory interests are in a specific project. The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) allows for both pre and post-consumer recycled asphalt shingles (RAS) in their mixes per their specifications. RAS must come from an Iowa DOT approved supplier.
