PRE-FORUM ROUNDTABLE SUMMARIES

Below are notes summarizing the three pre-forum roundtable discussions that were held on Thursday, November 1st, 2007, from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.  The summaries are posted in both Word and PDFformats.  The roundtable discussions were very successful in creating a dialog among industry partners to share their experience and expertise along with their concerns research and next steps to promote the market development of asphalt shingle recycling.

The Forum was a great success with over 200 participants!  Representatives from over 34 states and three Canadian provinces joined us in Chicago for two days of sharing experience and expertise on the industry of asphalt shingle recycling.  Presentations covered new technologies in asphalt shingle recycling, new market opportunities and economic benefits to end market users.  To view the speaker presentations click here.  A summary of the highlights and key points of each presentation are summarized in the Forum Speaker Highlights - Key Take Away Points. 

In addition to the presentations two new publications were released at the Forum the Recycling Tear-off Asphalt Shingles - Best Practices Guide and a white paper on Environmental Issues Associated With Asphalt Shingles
